A Vivid Dream

Normally I will have some kind of weird dreams a week or 2 before a running event and I won't be running, not until 27th June (SCKLM) and I think it's way too early to have one and I had a dream this morning and a vivid one.

I dreamed I was with a friend, J (her hubs were somewhere nearby) and we were in our shorts and tees at a running venue waiting for the gun down. My friend was  looking at her h/p (red in  color) and I realized that I left my h/p in her car. I asked her to get it for me and unwilling to budge an inch she gave me a bunch of car keys instead. I told her that I do not know where she parked the car and she simply said to follow the yellow line on the road that leads to the parking area. As I was about to set off by foot,  I realized I was holding my pillow! Reluctant to walk with a pillow in search of the red car BHM____, I asked her if she could hold it for me while I go. Without saying a word , she gave me the "I'm not going to and why should I" look. I understood and no time to argue, I started walking keeping my eyes on the yellow line. Then a bus came by and I boarded the bus and it started moving but !!! it was not going the yellow line road. Desperate, I got down and walked and I passed by a fast food chain, some tall plants with beautiful & colorful flowers and still no red car in sight! I was panicky as the run was about to start and that was when I was jolted from my slumber!!

Pheew!! It was only a dream! Wonder if there is a part II tonight.

The moral of my dream is never hold a pillow at a running event. You will look out of place!

Natural Beauties

When it comes to taking photos, pictures of flowers, fruits or colorful leaves will definitely not escape from my camera lenses. Whats more when it is taken right in front of my door step i.e from my garden. It is a much easier task because it is stationary and I can have a 2nd or 3rd shot until I am satisfied and is safely stored in my camera. It is so captivating that I feel it would be a waste to forgo an opportunity to have a good shot as season comes and go, and so do all living things under the sun.

This tree in my garden which is called the prosperity tree bears the fruit like the above picture and also blooms the flower as below. Nice isn't it but this happens a few years ago and lately no fruits or flowers and I wonder why??? It is very very rear that this tree can bear fruit or bloom flowers and I feel very fortunate that it chose to have fruit and flower in my garden :)

The next picture at the bottom is from a fortune plant and I can't tell whether its a fruit or a flower.

This cactus below was bought from Cameron Highland in 2003 and after so many years it decided to show its full glory in the year 2010.
As you can see from the top view the fruits looks like a smaller version of a cili padi, only it is striking pink in color. It is also very rear to see it bear fruits moreover in our hot and humid weather.

This next picture was given by a relative and I name it abundance plant since it has many tiny shoots coming abundantly from the big leaves.

The following flowers was taken from various places.
Top picture was taken at Jakarta in 2008. What attracted me was the flower that looks like a leaf itself only it was red in color.

A variety of small colorful delicate flowers found at Istanbul in 2010.

The above 5 photos was taken at Cameron Highlands in 2005. It is so unique in features and I had to snap it for my own collections.

This light blue flower was hanging precariously at Bellevue, the Penang Hill Hotel garden in 2004. The petals closely resemble an eagle beak.

This cute looking flower was snapped at Star Cruise terminal in 2007. Look closely and you can also see the fruits beside it.

This peculiar flower, once bloomed it looks like a love shape  and I feel it is suitable for Valentine's Day.

The beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and I hope to capture more unique or rear plants in the near future. I for one am grateful to Mother Nature for creating so many beautiful living things in this world.

Back To The Gym

Arghh...I needed a diversion of some sort from the daily grind in life. So I thought going back to the gym would be a welcome change to the daily routine of walking/running for me. For a start it doesn't cost much, can mingle with people, good for the body, mind and soul. As I rummaged around my pile of clothes, looking for my old faithful gym pants, my first thought was will I be able to fit in it. After many months of absence, there are bound to be flabs slowly creeping back in unwanted places. Urgh...it's obvious around the mid section, the thighs and the bums. I've been absent from the gym for a long long time (do I sound like a gym drop out)? Going back there is like going back to the basics of exercising. I was a regular member there for a couple of years before someone emm...ask me to join marathon. But it was ok cos running is also fun and good for stamina and endurance and it's free.
So here I was on the 1st day of class and it was pouring wet when I reach the gym. Nothing has changed much. The regulars gave me a surprise look when I made my entry hahah...and the friendlier ones ask me eh...long time never see you lah. What can I say but the truth, right?
After 50 mins of aerobic, strength workout with dumb bell and fit ball, I am fully energize again and I hope after a couple of repeated classes I will be able to run better and ahh...faster or further perhaps???

Yoga class is next week and I am prepared to be stretch, stretching and stretched. After all it will do me more good than harm.
