This was my 2nd attempt at getting myself a medal as medals were limited.
The highlight of this run - Sure felt honored to start the run with Azza (FMV member) whom recently completed her maiden 42km at SCKLM 2 weeks ago. Yeah, we run together at the start and I tried to keep up with her as long as I can but soon run out of steam. At 2.50km only, (smoke got into my eyes) as I was smoked by her. I wished her good luck and told her to run on, hoping to catch up with her later on but with her double turbocharged and her steady pace, I was left huffing and puffing behind. I believed she ran the whole 12km non stop. (And before the run, she told me she was tired, (konon)). From 10km onwards I totally lost sight of her. Anyway, congrats to you, Azza. You are good.
Who make my day - Thanks June (FMV creator) for your D bib. You gave me another 100% chances of getting a medal and sorry you had to skip this run and be a volunteer instead. I hope your big toe is getting better and be able to run again soon.
I registered for D category (200 medals) but somehow got E category bib (100 medals only). I do not have the answer for that.
How did I fare - Despite my tiredness, I managed to complete the run in 74th position and crossed the finish line in 1 piece. I gave myself a pat on the back and I too got a medal (yeay!)
Congrats also to Herman for getting a piece of it. (double yeay!!)
At last, we finally achieved our objectives to secure the limited edition medals.
